FILM and MUSIC
Many a director has given credit to the film music. Box office hits have been described as crap, without the use of a film score. Without words, I hope music tells the story.

Indomitable Spirit.
Composition for Concert Band. "Unconquerable" and "unbeatable" are a couple of synonyms to "indomitable." These adjectives can be understood as "impossible to subdue or defeat." While the piece is appropriate for anyone or any group competing and unwilling to settle for mediocrity, it is my pleasure to dedicate it to the men and women of the
United States Marine Corps, past, present, and future.

CHORAL MUSIC
Dona Nobis Pacem is a composition for a double men's choir (TTBB-TTBB). We live in terrible times, in which race relations are tense; gun violence, rampant in schools, churches, and night clubs; and the world seems ever on the brink of war. Dona nobis pacem entreats God to "Grant us Peace." Fear and Chaos rage on, but there is always Hope.
Jesus Wept was written for men and women, SATB, and sung a cappella. It is an Easter story about the way Jesus saw the pain and suffering of humans as they experience death. leading to his own crucifixion, and his triumph over the grave.
Sakura.
East Meets West. The Cherry Blossom is one of the treasures of Japan. The Japanese love the flower's blooming in Spring. Because of its season is short-lived, it is an apt representation of the Samurai. Sakura is a dance. Written for native instruments like the Koto, Shakuhachi flute, and Taiko drums. There are western instruments like violin, viola, and cello, which add classical influence without detracting from the Eastern musical style.

SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart was written for a wedding.
I. Hearts in Unison.
II. To a New Life.
The processional is for violin and keyboard (piano, organ). The sweetness of two hearts joining as one.
The recessional is a fanfare of joy. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the trumpet declares the New Life the married couple has promised each other.
I titled this piece "Sacred Heart" because of the name of the church where the wedding took place.

Shepard's Lullaby
I was commissioned to write this piece for Shepard, born into my dear friend Jeanne's family. Scored for Cello and Harp.
